It Won't Be Long

before she knows about the Easter Bunny. Alison just accepts whatever we tell her...Miss EllieB, on the other hand, does not. As we were putting them to bed Saturday night, I mentioned that they needed to fall asleep right away, so that the Easter Bunny could come. Then the questioning started:

Ellie: MOM? MOM? (yelling at me from her room)
Me: what?
Ellie: Is the Easter bunny big, like at the mall? or small like a real bunny?
Me: I don't know, I've never seen it. Go to sleep

a few minutes pass

Ellie: Mom?
Me: What Ellie?
Ellie: Is the Easter bunny a boy or a girl?
Me: I don't know.
Ellie: I think it's a boy. How does he get in?
Me: magic
Ellie: but does he walk or drive a car?
Me: I think he walks...I've never seen an Easter Bunny car.
Alison: How does he walk all the way from China?
Me: Magic
Ellie: Where does the Easter Bunny live? With Santa?
Me: No, its too cold in the North Pole for bunnies. He lives in a bunny hole

I leave and a few minutes pass

Ellie: If he takes a break from his walking will he get run over by car?
Me: No

(after the first couple questions I started writing them down, so I'd remember - I pray that Santa won't get the same interrogation!)

  3. I don't think your girls will be 7-8 and still be believing.... But then again, knowing is so awful, maybe they will?!

I love the way the minds work. Who would think of all those things?

    Love ya'

    Mom
