This Weekend

On Friday night I made mac n cheese for the kids so that as soon as Brian walked in the door, I could walk out. I met Laural and Danielle for the first evening of our Women's conference. We spent Friday night and ALL day Saturday there. There was an amazing speaker who really got right into my heart and I feel like I truly grew while hanging with these amazing girls. I'm not going to go into details, but I will say that I had so much fun (especially at dinner ;o) and I'm excited to go back next year!!!

Meanwhile back home, my equally amazing husband took all three kids first to Alison's soccer game (where I heard she played awesome!) and then to Mt. Charleston for a picnic lunch. On the way home Alison wasn't feeling well and threw up all.over.the.truck. ugh. He got them home, Alison cleaned up, the car cleaned up, and then Brooklynn starts screaming because she can't poop. He is texting me each step of the way, but insists that I don't need to come home. What a great husband I have! She was throwing up all evening, but thankfully she is old enough to make it to the bathroom or into a bucket now. At about 9:15 I left church to come home and help him out...but he had them all in bed sound asleep. Alison woke up to puke a few times in the night, but was feeling better the next morning (although we insisted she take it easy).

Sunday morning we skipped church. Didn't want to chance taking sick kids. Brian did yard work with Ellie. Alison watched a lot of TV. Brooklynn just hung out with everyone. I FINELY finished painting our upstairs after a 10 mile run. I feel like the weekend was 4 or 5 days long instead of 2. I'm emotionally and physically drained. Today we will be taking it easy, the girls are now watching Bolt, while I blog and then sew a little. I really need to clean, but that will have to wait until tomorrow or Wednesday morning!
