Party 1 of 2

Cookie Grandma, Cookie Grandpa, Uncle David, and Amy arrived late Friday night to help us celebrate Brooklynn's first birthday. Just as we were leaving Saturday morning to go to Alison's last soccer game of the season, Aunt Debbie and Steve pulled up! We had a very full day of soccer, frozen yogurt, lunch, swimming, and shopping.

Steve and Brian cooked and prepared EVERYTHING for dinner - thanks guys!!!

Then Brooklynn opened her presents! Amy and David got her a big truck that has different shaped blocks that go in it. Cookie Grandma and Grandpa got her a pink horse ride on toy, a doll, a swimsuit, and some clothes. Debbie and Steve got her some clothes, cute little flip flops, and a zebra stuffed animal that she LOVES. Alison and Ellie got her a small gift of a little baby, two outfits -one from each of them, and a little green ball.

Then it was time for cake and ice cream! We weren't going to get a cake, but as the party grew bigger we decided that she HAD to have cake on her birthday. So Mary and I went to Smiths and she bought BabyB a big balloon, cake and ice cream.
she wasn't too interested in the cake, but LOVED the ice cream :o) I'm gonna try a chocolate cake next time and see if we have better luck!
We had a wonderful time visiting with everyone! Thank you so much for all of the wonderful gifts. Next weekend we start all over with the other side of the family...we can't wait!
