Saturday - We went to Outdoor World and Target for camping stuff. Later Ellie and I dropped Alison off for gymnastics tryouts. (although she thought it was just a regular class) We decided to let her try out for her coach's sake. So the owner could see how well she taught the girls. An hour later we picked her up - parents are not allowed to watch. We went to Carrabba's for dinner and we got the call when we got home...she made level 3!! BUT - we had to decline. I felt awful, but it's just not the right time for us as a family. They assured me that she would be even better for the tryouts next year.
Sunday - The big girls and I went to church, while Brian stayed home with a sleeping Brooklynn.
Later, he watched sports on TV while I read, we took the girls to the pool and then had ribs, potatoes & corn on the cob for dinner
Monday - My friend Jennifer stopped by to pick up the girls up for gymnastics and not long after Uncle Chad arrived. He watched Brooklynn while I went to the doctor. Two and a half hours later I had seen the doctor, had blood drawn and had an ECG. (also a referral for PT) Hopefully soon I will know why I keep getting light headed and dizzy.
Tuesday - We were at Alison's future school by 8am for the uniform sale. We got 2 jumpers, 2 skorts, 5 ss polos, 1 ls polo, a button up shirt, and a sweater...not a bad start. I still need shorts, pants, sweatshirt, and a couple more button up shirts - hopefully she doesnt grow too much this summer! We just hung out at home the rest of the day...dinner was chicken in cream sauce, fettacinni, homemade cheesy onion bisquits and sliced veggies.
Wednesday - I made the girls pick up the playroom and their bedroom - When Brooklynn woke up from her nap, we went to the library to get the paperwork for the summer reading program, some books for them, and a couple books for me. The we stopped at Walmart for an oil change. Its so much easier to entertain kids walking around there than in the lobby of another place - Oh and I had promised them ice cream...turns out WallyWorld doesn't oil changes on my truck. SOOOOOoooo we went to Jiffy Lube, which happens to be right next to sonic!!! they got their ice cream after all :o) Usually I don't get car work done with the kids, but I needed to take care of it before our vacation.
Speaking of vacation...Im not halfway through my to-do list and I have 2.5 days left till we leave!!
Thursday - Stopped by the Carter's house to drop off Wilson. They are going to be watching him while we go camping. Alison says "I wish Jamie was babysitting us for a week instead of Wilson." Next we headed over to The District to exchange a SUPER CUTE outfit for Brooklynn that was too big, but they didn't have her size :o( So we got another outfit. On the way home we got In N Out. I put Brooke down for a nap, Ellie fell asleep and Alison watched Madagascar while I tried to adjust my photo a day blog...well I messed this one up too. (I was using it as a reference for the HTML and got them mixed up. It's *OK* now, but not super cute. Finished laundry and got all the clothes packed for 4 of us (B has to do himself). Realized Ellie and Brooke have no pants that fit...
After spaghetti & meatballs, watermelon and garlic bread for dinner, Ellie and I headed over to Old Navy to find pants and rain coats...found both...on clearance! Back to working on the blog and then off to bed...one more day left at home.
Eventful week.. I hope you have fun camping!
ReplyDeletehow funny does Alison not want to camp? You ALWAYS sound busy, then again who isn't busy right before a trip.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure once I have kids in school I'll be just as busy, I better enjoy not being busy right?
