My Mom and I took the kids to Discover Cube for the opening week of Bubblefest!
Fan Yang and his son own 13 world records for bubbles and bubble art.
They did some AMAZING things with bubbles...all 3 of my kids sat mesmerized for the whole hour.  Alison even won some bubbles for answering a question in the warm up!
After lunch, we tackled the rest of the museum
One of those giant pin things - this is Ellie'shead and hands

Alison swimming with the fish - she loved the green screen and seeing herself on TV
After the museum we headed home for a nap...before leaving agin to go to the Pirate dinner for Uncle Nick's birthday. (I don't know what title to use for the cousins, so going forward we are going with Aunt/Uncle!)
It's similar to Midevil Times or the one at Excaliber - but with pirates instead of knights.
I have no pictures because it was too dark for my camera phone.
Alison got to be a part of the show though!  She was a tiny pirate and was pulled onstage to ride in a rowboat around the main boat.  It was pretty cool.
We were on the side of Anthony- The Yellow Pirate, but we didn't win  :o(  The blue pirate won.
Maddie was so cute - she would start crying everytime the pirates were fighting...then she was fine when they were singing.  She especially disliked the bearded pirate!

  1. JEALOUS! At 32 I want to go to the Bubblefest. I see the big sign every day I drove home from work. It looks like I may just have to go afterall. Cool stuff!
