Today sucks

Im sick, Ellie is sick, Brooklynn is sick. Nuf said about that.

Well Alison and Brooklynn had well baby visits with Handsome Hodapp today. Al got 4 shots and Brooklynn got 3. Alison was kicking and hitting the doctor (who doesn't even do the shots) and had to be restrained when it was time for the vaccinations. Later she tells me "Mom, my legs hurt so bad...as bad as contractions!" Oh OK, like you know what that feels like.

Brooklynn has decided she no longer cares for the pacifier (not such good news on a day when she is miserable from shots) . UGH! It was so easy to just slap it in her mouth when she was fussy (which isn't very often). It only works when she is hungry. It buys me a little time if I can't sit down right away.

And the mother of all Sucks...my Mom is in the hospital and is having emergency surgery anytime. I'm glad she is getting it fixed, but I'm pissed it took her having to go to the ER after hurting for a year. And I'm scared for her. I want to go and help or just be there, but with three kids I can't just leave to help her. They are more of a distraction than I am help. She has a lot of support there, but it's still hard to just wait for the updates by phone.

The one bit of good news is that Brian is off his crutches now and is hurting less. The pain isn't all gone, but we'll take what we can get!
