Brian and I had a great date night last night. We started the night at Lowry's for dinner, which was amazing. Brian had prime rib, and I had rib eye. I usually don't like expensive steakhouses, but I loved this one. $175 later we were off to our show. (Nothing like spending the equivalent of two weeks groceries on one dinner - we had gift cards ;o)
We just barely made it to the Wynn in time. Actually we were a couple minutes late for the Spamalot musical, but they hadn't started. It was *alright*. I guess after seeing Wicked last weekend nothing would have been as good. We did laugh a lot though - you definitely want to have seen the movie first because otherwise, I don't think you'd get the jokes.
After the show, it was only 9:00 and we weren't ready to rush home to the kids, so we headed over to Claim Jumper for drinks (virgin for me) and desserts. We shared a cookie sandwich, which we only finished half of.
We thought about getting a Red Box movie, but I knew my pregnant self would just sleep threw it, so we headed home. Our Valentines/"night on the town before surgery" date was perfect!
sounds like a good night... I think it is completely necessary to have one extravagant night out when you are pregnant before you have the baby, jim and I did it and we'll probably be talking about that night forever haha.
ReplyDeleteOoh, sounds awesome! We love Lawry's. Did you have the cream corn? I'm glad you got a special night out! I just sent ya an email.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun night! Claim Jumper desserts are the best!
