dum dum DUM

About two weeks ago, I made an appointment to have my tile and grout cleaned. I did it this week, so when my family comes from out of town next week, my house would look decent. I gave them my credit card number to hold my spot. They said that if they show up and no one is home, then there is a $50 charge for their time and gas. They were way cheaper than most places I called, and they could do it the exact day that I needed. Sounded good to me. The appointment was for 10am today.

10:00 rolls around, no one shows up. 10:45 and still no one. I call, can't get through to anyone over the phone. I called Brian and he gave me a lecture about giving out the credit card number over the phone. (The cleaning service I hired for next week did the same thing, so I thought it was reasonable) I called the credit card company to check for a charge and cancel the card...just in case. Then I called around for another tile cleaning company that could come out today. (all of my furniture was moved last night, so I didn't want to have to move it all back again before the tile was done.

Michael from Enviro Cleaning and Restoration came out this afternoon and did an amazing job. My tile looks like new again :o) He saved the day. He was super nice, did a good job and gave me information about sealing it (Even though he usually does the sealing himself) I highly recommend him if you have grimy tile and grout. I got an estimate for my carpets too, which I will be doing in a few months.

  1. Thank heavens they didn't charge tons of stuff to your card! The tile looks great! Have fun with your family!

  2. ooooh I should do that! when I was pregnant I spent like 4-6 hours scrubbing the grout and within a couple days it was nasty again so I gave up on trying to keep it clean.

  5. It costs about $75 dollars more. I should have just ahd them do it because I spent $50 on the sealer, and mop anyways at Lowes. Oh well, now I sealer left over, so I can do it again next year.
