Great Day and Bad

Yesterday was a great day, the girls started preschool. I was worried that Ellie would be a disruption to the class, but Miss Heather said she did good. They were a tad nervous knowing that I would just be dropping them off. But I walked them to the door, Heather greeted them and I was off...no time to be sad. Brooklynn and I ran some errands and then went to the park to wait for the girls to finish up. When we got in the car I asked them what they did - "nothing". What was your favorite part of the day? - "I don't know". My goodness, is this really starting already? I thought they would be excited to tell me all about their day! I finely got a little information out of them. Tonight we are doing "homework" (which is optional, but they want to) and getting their stuff together for show and tell tomorrow.

Yesterday was a BAD day. On the way home from preschool Brooklynn started to cry. I thought she was just sick of being in her seat, but she continued to cry. If you have been around Brooklynn for any length of time, you know that she does-not-cry. I know it sounds strange, but she whimpers and yells, but she rarely cries with tears. She cried for over an hour straight. And she wouldn't take a bottle. It had been over 6 hours and she hadn't eaten, and she had a fever that I couldn't break. Actually if I put cold washcloths on her it would temporarily drop, but go straight back up. When I gave her Tylenol she spit it out and wouldn't take it in her formula.

I took her to a pediatric quick care and he said her ears and throat were fine. Her belly was soft, and took keep an eye on her. He said to get Pedialite and if she didn't drink it, or if her fever spiked to take her to the ER. Well I was getting ready to take her to the ER because she wasn't drinking and her fever went to 102, but as I was getting stuff together Brian got her to take the Pedialite. She had some fitful sleep last night, but seems a little better today. She has spent most of her day doing this...
Hopefully she sleeps tonight!

  2. aww so sad, poor Brooklyn. The girls really do look cute, that's funny they didn't really have much to say to you about preschool I would have thought they would have been excited to tell you too. Maybe they were overwhelmed.

  4. They look so cute and proud! Riley's school gives too much time to be sad. She pulled a doozy this morning.
Sorry about Brooklyn, that is so scary. She is adorable. I think Cole is bigger than her now.
We need a play date at the dino park when it cools off a bit!

  5. Sorry to hear about Brooklynn, and that is weird the girls didn't have anything big to tell you about Preschool. Maybe they were overwhelmed like Christina said.
