The other morning I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. I was cold and cranky and my kids were messing around instead of getting ready for school. I found myself yelling a little too much, and knew it, but still couldn't help it. Right before Alison went into class, I apologized and told her to have a great day.
In the morning, the kids sit on a big round rug and take turns saying a prayer. Alison never prays because she says she doesn't like talking in front of everyone. This particular crabby day, they broke into smaller groups to pray. When I picked Alison up from school, she announced "Mom, I prayed today". So of course I asked what she prayed for. "I prayed that Josh's Mom has her baby soon, and that your foot gets better, and that you have a better attitude in the mornings"!
You know what? It worked. I did have a better attitude this morning ;o)
sweet little thing!!! It hard not to be crabby when it is so cold and your kids cant seem to get their act together:) At least she thought to pray for you:)
