Its FINELY scheduled

Brian's surgery is next month! Not that I'm excited that he's having surgery, but I am happy that we have a firm diagnosis, and that he won't be in pain anymore. And he should be off crutches by the time the baby gets here, which is even better news! Its been 4 long months that we have been waiting for this and even though the hard part is just beginning, its a relief to know whats wrong with him. He will be on crutches for a month, then get weaned off them. Total recovery is about a year, but after that he should be back to normal. A few months after they do the right side, they will reevaluate the left side to see if they need to do that one. I'm scared for him, but anxious to get the whole thing over with! (and to have my pain-free husband back. He never complains, but its hard to watch him hurting from just doing everyday things)

  1. Oh how scary. We will be thinking about you for sure and Brian. How nice to finally have some closure hopefully and yes a healthy, happy, husband. Keep us posted on how things are going, dates, ect. Lucy goes in for her surgery on Friday, I'm a little nervous myself about that, lots of ice cream and jello....

  3. That's good that you can finally get the ball rolling, but it sucks that he has to go through all of this. Let me know if I can help with anything.
