pregnancy pet peeves

My cousin Christina is pregnant and is due in Feb. She posted on her blog (MySpace, so I can't link to it) her pet peeves and challenged me to post mine...so here they are. Feel free to add your own!

*when I look like shit and am still in my pajamas at noon, don't ask me how I'm feeling. I feel like crap.

*I hate it when people insist that having a baby "natural" is better. Your giving birth, that's natural no matter what. I have had two kids, one with and one without meds...trust me the one with was SOOOOO much better for me. (notice I said for me...kinda like the vaccinations) Not just for the pain, but with the one without, I was so tired and sore that I couldn't even enjoy the moment after.

*Stop asking "Are you having more?" or "So are you done NOW?" I was done with Ellie, but God had other plans...and I'm so glad that it was out of my control, and that another little life is being trusted to Brian and I. The answer is - I *think* we are done.

*Don't give me crap about not finding out what it is...we don't want to know, that's why! At least that's what it started out...now it's just a nice way to annoy people, because everyone HAS to know.

*don't ask what we are naming the baby, and then when I tell you my ideas shoot them down. I will ask for opinions if I want them.

*I don't like my belly to be touched...I know your family and your excited, but if it moves, I promise I will tell you and you can feel it.

*Don't tell me how big I am getting. Trust me, if anyone knows it's me! Oh and don't tell me I look tired, I totally know. I am growing a human and raising two toddlers - that takes a lot of energy!

I feel like I should post why I like being pregnant now...Oh yeah, I don't. The only plus for me is the baby at the end!

  2. You made me laugh! I didn't know you weren't finding out what it is. I wish I could be exciting like that! You need to post a picture of you now!

  3. I totally agree with you on the whole "natural" thing. Like Darric always says, if you were having knee surgery would you do it "naturally" without any anesthetics?
    probably not.
