Its a start

Here is the beginning of my first quilt top. Its a ragged edge quilt, and it will get better and better with each washing! The seams aren't as bad as I thought they might turn out, so that's a plus. I chose this one because I could do it with the machine foot I already have. I was kinda hoping that I wouldn't like it since they don't make the feet I need for my style of machine, but I loved it. Hopefully I can figure out how to actually quilt it...or maybe Ill just be making "pieced blankets" instead of "quilts"!

Its not quite as big as I wanted it, so I'm not sure if I am going to cut more colored blocks (I'm running low on fabric) or get some white fabric to make a boarder around it, or leave it as it is. I could give it away as a baby blanket, but since it's my first one I kinda want to keep it. Any suggestions?

  5. Go buy more fabric and make it the size you want. I agree, no white.
