Before I start my randomness I need to thank my Mom for coming to watch the kids while Brian and I went to Mammoth. I have to admit that I take it for granted that she will watch them. I have been told by many many people that their Mom's couldn't (or wouldn't) handle 3 kids for a week. Not only did she watch them, she cleaned my house, went to Costco, and shuttled them to and from their activities! AMAZING!!! I love you Mom and have no idea what I would do without you!!!!!
1. I am so excited for my cousin Tanya who is expecting #5!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to hold a little newborn baby. Another baby in time for Christmas!
2. I am just not as motivated for this race coming up, as I was for my first. I am getting my runs in, but I have to force myself to go do it. Whats up with that? BTW - anyone who is running with me, I am registered...so ya'll better not back out!
3. Ellie has been SO good lately. Still loud, but good. It is so nice to not be fighting with her all day.
4. Speaking of Ellie, I can officially say that she is POTTY TRAINED. Even at night. So nice!
5. My Dad started treatment for his cancer this week. So far, so good. I'm relieved that the process has started. Love you Daddy.
6. I am sad that I will miss Maddie's 1st birthday party this weekend. We can not afford to go back to California so soon after Mammoth. From what I hear though, she probably wont notice that we aren't there - about 40 people are already going to be there! Ill wait for Christina's post of what she gets before I get her something - I really want to try to make something for her.
7. The dress I made for Alison is too big. My Mom explained how to fix it, but then my machine broke. If there is anyone reading this in Vegas that sews, please help me! I will bring my machine to you!
8. Nine month shots for Brooklynn tomorrow. Hope I remember to give her Tylenol in the morning.
Yay to Potty Trained! Wish you were coming too.. I have no idea what to get her ;)
ReplyDeletei think i probably take my mom and mom-in-law for granted too. i couldn't even imagine them not wanting to (or being able to)watch my kids.
ReplyDeletegood job miss ellie!!
you are for sure lucky. neither my mom nor my mil would take all my kids for a week so we could have a vacation. never. which is why we never have. you are very blessed.
ReplyDeleteand YAY to ellie!!!
sorry to hear about your daddy! Hope things go well:O)
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed your random thoughts on thursdays so much that I did it today and it was really fun. Thanks
Mandi,
ReplyDeleteI have had two treatments and as far as I can tell I do not glow in the dark.
Thanks for your concern.
Love ya,
Grandpa L.
You are more than welcome. The kids are so good that they are a pleasure and we had so much fun. You needed to be gone longer, we had more things to do but ran out of time! I guess I can never get a job, huh? I wish I were there to help you with the dress. It has given me a bug to sew again. All I do is mend and I hate to do that. Ellie was perfect for me, no issues at all. Maybe she is growing up???
ReplyDeleteI miss and love all of you.
