6:00 wake up to Brooklynn yelling Mamamama. (although its a tad early for me, I kinds love her yell Mama instead of crying).
7:00 fix breakfast ( actually more like hand out breakfast) Ellie has a breakfast bar, Alison has Apple Jacks and Brooklynn has an Eggo. I have nothin.
7:20 I get the girls clothes out and before jumping in the shower say "You better be dressed - with socks - and teeth brushed when I get out."
7:40 Get out of the shower...Alison is ready, Ellie is not. Surprise surprise.
8:20 Leave the house after finishing my stuff, doing the girls' hair, packing for the gym, and making my bed.
8:30 Walk into Vons to pick out a snack for the girls to take to school (its our week to bring them) - They pick chocolate doughnuts.
9:00 Arrive at church and check the girls in.
9:10 make a trip over to the coffee shop with Vicky to get some caffeine .
9:30 start our discussion - I realize I forgot my book and my Bible at home.
11:15 Rush out to gather all my monkeys and jump in the car
12:00 Drive thru Arby's for lunch and eat in the back of the car because Brooklynn is asleep.
12:30 Drop Al and El at preschool and call the gym to cancel my childcare appt.
12:45 Arrive at Urgent Care to get my head looked at - The whole right side of my head has been hurting so bad that I can't eat.
12:47 Realize that Alison left her snack in the car - Call Heather to tell her I'm on my way back
1:00 Drop off snack and head back to Urgent Care
1:20 Urgent Care is closed for lunch
1:30 Stop at Costco - we need formula, only about 3 bottles left in the can
2:30 Leave Costco and go to the park with Brooklynn to wait for school to get out. She was cracking up at the ducks.
3:00 Pick up the girls
3:20 Back to Urgent Care and sign myself in - its all on a little computerized tablet now...very cool.
3:30 Alison is complaining that her hands hurt - I check them out and she has a rash all over them. She says they burn more than itch. So I fill out the form for her and pay a second copay.
4:15 See the doctor - I have an ear infection with water n my middle ear. Alison has Exema.
4:30 Leave the doctor with prescriptions and call B to give him the update. Then we start over to Katie's new store.
5:00 Get lost trying to find the store.
5:15 Finely get a call from Donald and he directs me the right way.
5:20 Unload the kids and find Katie for VIG night! (Very important guest night) at her new store. They had snacks, sandwiches, Starbucks samples, a band, a dancer (who Alison thought looked like a Bratz doll - I gotta agree), coupons, and we got first dibs on all the New Store Specials so we had to do some shopping :o) Saw a bunch of old friends and gave many hugs, even though this store is on the other side of the world.
7:15 I realize that the pharmacy is open, so I run out to the car and get our prescriptions. Walk the store one more time with Katie and Donald comparing and commenting on the fixtures, signing and layouts that have changed (The signing looks like a pain, the tables look like Gap, and softlines looks very big for a new store - especially infants - but only us dorks that lived and breathed Target for years on end would even notice ;o)
7:30 Pick up my prescriptions, say my goodbyes and leave the store.
8:10 Get home, get Alisons medicine on and put them to bed!
Ugh - Not at all how I planned my day to go. I hate it when I smash that much stuff in. I probably should have skipped Target, but I really wanted to be there to support my girl and how hard she worked to get it ready. Softlines looked SO good!!!
We all survived...and today is another day (which will be filled with meals at home, boardgames, picking up the house, playing in the backyard - with a little gymnastics and gym thrown in for exercise ;o)
wow I am tried!
ReplyDeleteYou go girl;O)
Reading that made me tired ;).
ReplyDeleteSounds like a tought day, but those days always seem to go by fast for me. Maybe I can't say that I'm never really that busy, yet. One of these days!
ReplyDeleteWow, that was a lot crammed into one day! But at least you were already at Urgent Care when Alison's hands started hurting!
