Lazy Day

Today is a lazy day. We went to the gym this morning and ran 4 miles (well I did, the girls played), came home and showered, and have not done much since. Alison is grounded, so we aren't doing anything "fun" today (except for Max's birthday party tonight - because I said so) and she has no TV for a week. I put a movie on for Ellie and Alison had to stay downstairs or in her room while it was on. It lasted about 10 minutes because Ellie has zero attention span for anything.
One small thing we did was paint. I picked up these little ceramic things at Michael's for less than a dollar.

The girls mixed up some green all on their own...i didn't even know they knew how to make green!

This little monkey is too little to paint, so we hung out and practiced walking and she gave me lots of kisses...and made lots of faces that ALWAYS get me to laugh :o)

Now? Now they are getting restless. Now they are asking every 2 minutes if it's time to go to the party. Now I have told them to stop talking to me, because I'm cranky and their endless questions (all the same, asked in a different order and by different kids) is getting on my nerves. Now would be a great time to let them veg out in front of the Disney Channel, BUT instead I think I'll give them a bath...it will keep them busy for a few seconds and they will play without me getting involved.

  1. It doesn't seem like too lazy of a day..then again you're so used to being really busy.
