B: When I was little we had all kinds of pets
A: What did you have?
B: We had fish, rabbits, snakes, birds, guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, turtles, cats dogs, all kinds of animals.
A: What happened to them?
B: The snake got stuck behind the refrigerator. The rabbit dug under the fence and ran away. The hamster had babies. The guinea pig just got old and died.
E: Oh my goodness!
B: Ellie, what did you do today?
E: I went to art class. Then I went on a date with Caspert (Alison's imaginary friend)
B: Oh really, where did you go?
E: To see Elmo
B: Sounds like a good day.
E: Yep. (said, so matter of fact, with her head down in the middle of eating spaghetti)
Isn't dinner time wonderful? Every family should eat together at the table! I love it....
