I went to the Endo yesterday, and for the first time since Ive been diagnosed my numbers are perfect! 6 weeks ago my antibodies were in the 800s, yesterday they were in the 100s (lower is better ;o) I still feel really tired, so she uped my meds a tad to see if that would help. We can't tell if it's thyroid or pregnancy - although chances are that it's both. I love that she really listens to me and doesn't just go by the test results. She understands that "normal" is different for everyone. Her office is the most unorganized place in the universe (I just got a bill from a procedure done in Oct.) but I suffer through that, because I like the doctor so much.
After that we had lunch and then did "school". We made rain pictures from cupcake cups, pipe cleaners and used blue glitter glue to make rain. Ellie even sat through the whole thing this time. Then Al practiced her writing. Usually its a battle because she wants to do it however she feels like it, but this time, she listened and her Ds came out perfect.
If markers are involved, I always take off Ellie's shirt - even with a bib or smock she ruins her shirts every time!
To celebrate out successful day, I loaded the kids up in the new wagon and walked up to 7-11 for slurpies! They got cherry, I got half cherry, half coke - Mmmmmmm.
Then Ellie went down for a nap, while Alison and I picked up the downstairs. We then headed out to do our CVSing and Walgreens. I'm not very good at it, but still got some OK deals. I spent $60 out of pocket and saved $30...so not too bad. I only got stuff I would really use like diapers, formula, hand soap. I am pretty brand loyal though, and these processes only work if your willing to buy whatever brand is on sale.
I made chicken wraps for dinner, and they turned out SOOOOO good. Brian said they even tasted like PF Changs (that was the goal, but I didn't think they'd come anywhere near it) and the best part is, they only took about 25 minutes to make. Both girls even loved them..although Alison picked over the water chestnuts ;o)
.
yeah on the low numbers. that is great.
ReplyDeleteanother fun school project.
did you walk to the 7-11 off Russell (the other side of 2-15)??? that's the only one i can picture. what a yummy reward. slurpees sound so good this time of year.
No, not that one on Russell! I don't think I could do that if I wasn't huge :o) They built another one on Russell and Grand Canyon. Right at the end of my street if I could get through that gate. We have to walk around though ;o)
ReplyDeletethat wagon is so cool... where did you get that??
ReplyDeleteI got it at Toys R Us. They didn't have it at the store on Stephanie, but the one off of Decater had it. Which was good because I really didn't want to pay for shipping ;o)
ReplyDeleteHope the meds help on the tiredness! That's the worst when you still have a family to take care of! The wagon is soo cool! My Dr.s office has a bunch of idiots running it too, but he is so worth it also!
ReplyDeleteI hope my doctor listens to me. I need to get my numbers checked again. She said my thyroid is starting to slip toward the hyper a little, but I feel fine. I've had no real symptons that I can think of although I'm really bad at spotting them actually. It took me suffering from Graves disease for about 8 months before I really picked up all the numerous symptoms I had. I hate being Hypo though. See you in a little over a week!!
ReplyDeletethat wagon is awsome and you are so creative with your activities you do with the girls.
ReplyDeleteglad to hear that your numbers are lower.
Everyone has said it all already. The kids look cute in the Wagon. Can the top be off? White drapeings would make it a "love wagon" for the wedding....
