Christmas Crafts

After I blogged about it, I got some emails and comments, asking about the crafts I plan to do this season. Here whats on the list:

felt advent calender (running out of time for this one, but I still might do it and just start it late)

and paper globes from Heather Bailey's free patterns using Christmas paper (look on the bottom right sidebar under free patterns :o)

covering old formula cans with Christmas paper, decorating them, sticking cookies and goodies inside, then wrapping them in ribbon for our neighbors. (wrapping paper is too thin, and modge podging scrapbook paper left lumps - glue gun + scrapbook paper = perfect.)

cutting out snowflakes for our windows. I'm going to try to find some metallic paper, then do the old fashioned fold, cut unfold method.

baking cookies and those pretzel/chocolate things

and making either popcorn string or paper chains for our tree.

  1. looks like you had fun on your thanksgiving - my side of the family did thanksgiving early too.

love all the crafts - if you want an alternative to the felt calendar, you could do a board. i finished mine pretty quickly the year i did mine. let me know and i can e-mail you the instructions

love the globes - i am going to do heather's poinsetta pinwheels.

  2. I remember the craft days. You would think I would have time again now. I don't know where the days go. It is frustrating!

    I'm anxious to see them...
