First I made this pillow...and I will not be making another one to match (even though I have the materials to do so) It was a HUGE pain and didn't turn out well at all. It looked MUCH easier in the tutorial than it really was.

We have been wanting a headboard for a long time, but can't afford one right now, so this is our temp fix. I love how they turned out...the material is somewhere between fabric and paper, and they are transparent in some places and not in others. I'm planning on making some bigger throw pillows in the darker blue, but I haven't found the material that I want (don't you hate it when you have what you want in your head and can't find it anywhere?!)

The panels look nice! I'm glad you got them up.

the panels look very cool and i love how you painted the frames. maybe you could make your own headboard one of these days? i saw it on trading spaces where they just took a piece of plywood and some upholstery material and some batting and a staple gun and they made one. it looked really nice. or maybe you could find one at goodwill and paint it?
ReplyDeletemy friend angela did something like that re-purposing a hutch:
