~This is a great post about running. I know usually I'm on the other side of the fence about this, but she is ABSOLUTELY right...running (or any other form of exercise that you do) is a privilege - especially to those in 3rd world countries. I am blessed to have great gear, clean water, safe streets & gym, and the time to do it.
~I donated to The Red Cross Haiti relief fund a few times today...just text "Haiti" to 90999...and $10 will be donated (it shows up on your cell bill) Not that our $50 will save a life, but it might. And 'might' is good enough for me right now.
~THIS site has me TOTALLY inspired right now. I have been wanting to paint our dining room set for-ever. BUT - I am too chicken! We can't afford a new one if I mess it up (although it's pretty bad right now, so it probably wouldn't matter. I would also LOVE to redo our kitchen cabinets myself BUT again, I'm so freaked out that I will make them worse, not better. My sister in law Amber has redone her cabinets (probably more than once) and they always look good...but for some reason I can't muster up the courage. Anyway, my point it, this post has given me the courage to try. As long as B doesn't nix it, I'm gonna try it out on one of our extra chairs that spend most of it's time in our closet. We only pull it out occasionally, and it wont look any worse than the office chairs we also bring out!
~Ellie has decided she wants to give up baseball for gymnastics...and Alison has decided she wants to give up gymnastics for soccer!? Is it opposite day or something?
~I am making THIS pillow cover as soon as I can go buy fabric and THIS wreath as soon as I go to the store to get beans...I'm gonna spray paint it pink for valentines day! (told you that site was inspiring me ;o)
~We got a new printer/scanner/copier combo for Christmas and Brian can't get it to load correctly. When I try to print it says "request failed" but prints anyway. But it wont scan at all. He wants me to call Epson, but I wouldn't know what to tell them, so I'm making him do it! Speaking of computers - B got me a new monitor for Christmas (flat screen/widescreen) and I love it~
love the pillow and the wreath. It is so cute. I thnk even us "challanged" individuals could make it:)
ReplyDeletep.s. loved all the AWESOME christmas stuff and the CLUBHOUSE!
Looks like fun projects. The bean wreath could get goofy if you try too much of a pattern, curves are hard. You are so artistic though, it will be great! You could re-spray it different colors for different holidays... St Patricks day, etc. FUN!!
ReplyDeleteMom
the original crafter who made the wreath just painted her's pink and it's super cute... do it!
ReplyDeletegood luck with the table. i'm about to take some paint to a coffee table... i'm excited!!
