Ellie - she has decided that she wants me to sleep with her. Not going to happen. When she cried for the third time last night, I decided I would let her cry until she came in my room. All of a sudden it was very quiet. I got up, went to her room and found Alison in bed with her and they had both fallen back asleep.
Alison - Used her new Adidas shoes, that Grandpa sent her, at practice today. She said they made her run faster ;o)
On Wednesday morning, she put a flower sticker on my belly. Later when we went to my OB appointment, Id forgotten it was there. He lifted my shirt and asked the girls if it was theirs. Alison asked him if she shines a flashlight over the sticker, will the baby see a shadow of a flower? Amazing how that kid's mind is ALWAYS working. He told her he wasn't sure, but to ask the baby when it came out.
Brian - He is mostly off crutches, he just uses one if he will be walking a lot. All that time with his leg not hurting for a month is catching up with him now. Since he has been walking on it, he has been in pain. He has also been working his butt off in PT, so that could be some of it. He goes to PT three days a week, and on the off days, he does stuff at home. He is the most compliant patient I have ever seen. He does everything exactly like they tell him too. Hopefully that will cut the recovery time down...a year is a long time!
Mandi - I am OK. Baby is exactly the size it should be and nothing new to report. I'm of coarse tired and achy. My sciatic is acting up a lot more this pregnancy than the other two, but I think it's because the baby is always so low. At least I can breath...with the girls I was constantly pushing them out of my ribs. I used up my birthday money this weekend, bought a wagon (a big collapsible one, that will fit in the car - sometimes I need a place for both girls and a stroller is not practical for Alison) and I also bought a sling. Jodie recommended it, and loves it. It seems light weight enough to use through summer.
Yesterday I met Brian at PT to drop off some workout clothes (he was running late and couldn't make it home to change) After I left he said something to Scott, his therapist, about only having 7 more weeks to go before the baby. The front desk girl says "your wife is pregnant?" Now it wouldn't be *that* bad except the lady that runs Ellie's room at church said she thought I was just gaining weight. Am I really that huge? Its kind of depressing because I'm at least 15 pounds lighter than with either of the other 2. Brian assures me I do in fact look pregnant, not fat, but still...
haha even though it sucks if you do look fat and not pregnant don't know i haven't seen you.. just figure you're probably not as huge as you could be which is a good thing... and maybe its a boy if you're carrying differently.
ReplyDeletePeople just don't know when to shut their mouth do they? I think you look great! Do you go early, or do you really have 7 weeks? That is way cute about the sticker, she is one smart girl?
ReplyDeleteoops didn't mean to put a ? I know she is a smart girl!
ReplyDeleteI actually have 8 weeks left, but I am being induced on the 16th, a week early.
ReplyDeletei think i need to go buy me some adidas. (maybe they'll just help me run)
ReplyDeletei wouldn't worry too much about what people say. remember, those are the same people that call baby girls boys when they are dressed in all pink.
i agree with brian. you can tell you are pregnant (now), but you, by no means, look fat.
You should be happy that you don't look "giant" because it would be way more uncomfortable. I think you are doing great with your weight! You will be much happier after the baby is born....
ReplyDeleteAlison is scary smart! You better keep that one busy!!!
