Today's Thoughts on Thursday

1. After I did my 9 miles on Sunday, my joints were so sore. I should have taken Monday off, but I went to the gym to do some strength training. Yesterday I was all set to do my 5 miles, but only squeaked out 2.5 because I am still really achy. Hopefully today will be better.

2.Ellie was playing in the backyard and I noticed she had the poop shovel. I was thinking that it was nice of her to pick up the dog poop before the kids went out to play...then I saw her pick the poop up with her hand and set it on the shovel. At least it wasn't soft new poop. Oh well, you win some, you lose some.

3. I bought new jeans yesterday. First off, I was excited that I found some that I liked that weren't $100. But then when I realized that the 9s were too big I was really happy :o) I am back to my goal size 4 months ahead of schedule. I wanted to be back to my pre-Brooklynn size by the time she was 1.

4. We have a fish, Dana, that has over the years become my fish. Brian got it for Alison before Ellie was born and has surprised us all by living so long! I think after all this time, maybe I should get a real tank for her.

5. Ellie knows how to spell her name if you ask her, and she knows the letters of her name, but when she writes it, it looks like this...
all the letters are there...

6. It really annoys me when the big flatbed truck with mesh sides comes by on trash day and steals all the recyclables from everyones baskets. We don't even recycle and it still bugs me.

7. I am so excited for mine and Brian's upcoming vacation. My Mom is coming to watch the kids while we go to Mammoth for a little under a week. Her and the kids were going to go with us, but then we found out how much ski school costs and decided not to take them. THANKS MOM for watching them and giving Brian and I a much needed break.

8. Alison has Brooklynn's chunky cough now. The kid was up all night, then came and slept on our floor and kept us up the rest of the night. Poor kid.

9. Gotta make dinner reservations for race night - for 18 people!. I remember in the morning when the restaurant isn't open yet...today is the day.

10. Lovin this post by Jamie.

11. Ellie walking around singing this morning
Be careful little mouth what you say
Be carefull little mouth what you say
For the father up above
is looking down in love
Oh be careful little mouth what you say

  1. Ok the truck stealing the recylables ticks me off too and I don't even live there! Great job on the jeans, that is so great! Where did you find ones you like under $100, cause I refuse to spend that much too.

  2. Macy's. I returned Brian's pants and didnt find any that I liked for him, so I bought me some :o)

I must have tried on 20 pairs. Because I don't want flair and I dont want skinny jeans. I just needed some regular everyday jeans. Then the lady brings me the Roxy ones and I tried them on and loved them, but was worried about the price. But they were only $50!

  7. that's awesome that you're to your goal size... even more awesome that it's early. probably from all of that running you're doing. ;)

i think i need to memorize ellie's little song there and sing it throughout the day. especially on days like today, when all of the kids are home.
