Weekend and hair story...

Well we're back to reality today. It was a great weekend being back together as a family though! Brian is back to work (yep already) and the girls and I will be back at the gym in an hour (I only went once last week :o(
On Saturday I was waiting and waiting for the girls to get home, but by 11:20 they still weren't here, so I decided to go back to the salon and get my hair a little shorter (I figured that if I was going to do it, might as go all the way) I dropped Puck off at the groomers on my way. When I called Jennifer, the stylist/owner she says "I knew it! I should have just done it, Id knew you'd call me back." She was so nice. Normally I would NEVER go back, Id just deal with it till the next cut, but she made me feel really comfortable calling her. When I got home, my babies were there and they come running up and Alison stops and says "Where's Puck?" Not exactly the reunion I was thinking about ;o) Ellie was attached (literally) to me the whole weekend. She is the definition of a Mama's girl.

Yesterday we went to church and then picked up lunch to take to the park. We had bought this crazy huge kite at Costco for $10, so we drug it along with us. If you want a good laugh picture a 7 month pregnant lady *trying* to run through the grass to get the kite in the air while some guy on crutches is yelling out orders and what to do. Yeah, it didn't go over so well! The girls didn't seem to mind. Bedtime was back to normal last night. The girls complaining they didn't want to sleep, Alison yelling that Ellie wouldn't stop talking etc.

The Hair Story
A couple people emailed me about my hair...I was complaining that I needed a haircut to Brian, but that Karen wouldn't be back in town for a few weeks. He said to just go get it cut and he'd pay for it (normally it comes out of my weekly budget) So I was thinking that Id just go to Supercuts or someplace like that and get the nasty ends trimmed off. On my way downstairs Brian yells "Don't come back with a ponytail!" So I get to thinking and decide to try a new salon by our house called Vision. I walk in and there are about 8 people waiting, so I figure Ill never get a walk in appointment, but the girl says that they just had a cancellation and they can take me now, with no wait. So I sit down and tell her that I need some type of "style" and it has to be super quick because with two toddlers I don't have much time in the morning, and I have to be able to get it out of my face for the gym, but to do what she thought would look good. The next thing I know, my whole ponytail is chopped off! Oh well, nothing I could do about it at that point. (Maybe she heard Brian before I left!) So now I have a bob, with the front a little longer than the back. I didn't go in thinking it would be this short. A lot of people I know have this cut right now though, and didn't want to be exactly the same, but its easy and it turned out cute.

  3. Your hair looks cute in the last post, post another picture. That is the funniest story I woke Jim up reading it because I was laughing so much. That would have been a great caught on clip moment.

  4. Glad the girls are home. Sometimes you just need that little push to make a change with hair huh? I think it is very cute!

  5. I think the new haircut is so cute. My sister cuts hair, and everytime I go in, mine gets shorter.
