NYC - Day 2
First thing we packed all of our stuff up and took it back to the lobby for the bellmen to hold until we got our new room.  We had breakfast and then
we went to the subway, got a 7 day unlimited metro card and headed to Times Square.  From there we walked to the bike store.  I had reserved us a pedicab tour of Central Park - We were going to do the carriage ride, but the pedicabs can go further into the park than the horses can.  We got to the bike store and the driver never showed up, so the owner jumped on a bike and went to get someone else.  We lucked out, because our guy was SO nice and funny.  He was from a little country just outside of Russia and had been in NYC for 3 years.

I don't remember what this building is behind us, but I remember him saying a lot of famous people have apartments there...its about $6,000 per month for rent!

This is the mosic that used to be outside the building where John Lennon was shot. It was moved from in front of his appartment to Central Park because it gets so busy, that the people who lived in the building couldn't get home.  Our driver said that in the summer it can take hours to get close enough to get this shot, because it's so crowded.  He said people come to New York just to visit where he was shot.

This is the fountain where the intro to the TV show Friends was shot.

Our driver knew tons and tons of movie locations all around Central Park...He pointed out all the spots and named all the movies.  It was pretty cool.

After Central Park we went back to Times Square, did some shopping and had lunch.
We ate lunch at Gormet New York Marketplace and had the best paninis ever.
We passed by the Ripley's Museum, but didn't have enough time to go in.

We then headed over to ESPN zone to watch the gold medal Olympic hockey game between USA and Canada.  We got there about an hour early so we could get great seats in front of the big screen.
As you know...the US lost ...the winning goal was scored by Crosby...in overtime

We took the Subway back to Grand Central Station (I can't believe we didn't get a picture of Grand Central...just video.  It's just like in the movies - crazy with people going in a million directions!)
We changed rooms - this time with a King size bed :o)

We skipped dinner since we had spent 4 hours at ESPN zone drinking and snacking, and ended our night at the Gotham Comedy Club.  We saw Mark Curry (from Hanging with Mr Cooper) and he was SOOO funny.  He definately had been smoking something or had a little too much to drink, but I was crying from laughing so hard!
They wouldn't let us take pictures once the comedians came out...
