NYC - Day 7
We had an uneventful trip home...it was long, but no fights or delays this time ;o)
And we came home to 3 cute little girls and Grandma waiting for us at the bottom of the stairs at the airport!
I missed those little girls a ton...until we got home and they started whining and bickering.  It was easier to miss them from across the country!  ha ha just kidding.

This is us 'watching' the home videos of the trip that night.  I was worn out from traveling, and Grandma was worn out from 3 kids all week!

And this is who made it all possible!!!
My Mom is the most amazing person I know.  She takes care of everyone.  She totally "gets it" that Brian and I need this time for our marriage.  She never makes me feel bad about leaving the kids, or guilty that she is watching them while we are off having fun.  More than a few of my friends had told me before the trip, that there was no way their Mom would watch 3 kids for a whole week!  My Mom handles them and loves them as if they were hers - and I guess they are!  She took them to soccer (twice), to gymnastics (twice) to school everyday - cleaned my entire house! - changed the bed sheets - finished all the laundry - went food shopping - on top of feeding and cleaning the little monsters all week.
Yeah - I DO know how lucky I am...and I love you SO much Mom, not because of all that you do, but because of the person you are.

  1. It is such a pleasure to watch your girls. Ellie is so much fun and so agreeable and helpful. Alison is ever the "grown up" and also very helpfull. And Brooke, what a doll. She loves her Mamaw and always lets me know. Ellie does too. I am the luck one that you will trust your three girls with me for a week. Any time! And I love you and Brian too. Of course your comments made me cry....that is just part of me I guess. I miss all of you!
