highlights:

We went to have a picnic lunch with Alison at school today for Easter.

She had "free dress day" because her class read the most books for read-a-thon!

Ellie read her first word!!  JET

Went to Alison's 1st orthodontist appt.  In the car, the girls were so excited to see Grandma Becky (who works there) but then got all shy when we walked in.  Alison needs 2 more teeth pulled, then we go back in 4 months.  The good news is, he said that he is pretty conservative and only likes kids to have braces once...thats good news for Al - and our checkbook!

Dad, Ellie and Brooke went to the store after dinner to buy ice cream (for them) and strawberry shortcake (for me and Al - since I can't have ice cream)

The "scorpion hunter" came over last night - he and Brian hunted scorpions in the backyard and found 8 and a few in the garage! 

 (did you know that they glow under a black light?  not just a little bit - its like at Disneyland - except freaky and more dangerous!)

They killed them with a hammer - then the bug guy came back today to spray. 

(he was nice enough to lay a tarp over all our veggies & fruits)
