This lovely sink will be waiting for me in the morningTook Ellie back to the Dr this morning - status is: nothing has changed. I went to see my regular pediatrician because: 1. I trust him 2. He wont over-react. 3. I trust him. He said that he really has no idea what happened last Monday and why her glucose was so high, BUT he doesn't think she has diabetes. Everything since then has been normal, and she never has shown the other signs of having it.
He said we could deal with it one of two ways: 1. go see an endocrinologist - have her poked and prodded and tested...end result: we find out if she has it.
OR
2.wait and see if she presents any other symptoms...end result: we find out if she has it. SO
I decided to go with option 2. For the sanity of the whole family. It's not as if she will get worse, I'll notice it, and not do anything! So as soon as she shows signs of drinking a lot, going to the bathroom a lot, being overly tired, and losing weight...I will take her in, and we will deal with it. He said chances are she will be fine though.
dinner: sloppy joes and grapes
